This book will change the way you think about airway management. Despite training in a busy EM program managing many airways with an emphasis on "what would you do next", I learned several new things from this book. In other areas it makes my airway management more nuanced.
I use it all the time as a flight nurse. I would recommend it to everyone. Only thing I would like to see is an electronic version so that we could use it with iPad.
A must read text for airway management.
Great text. As a former paramedic (and current nurse), this is a go-to reference for me. The writing is clear and can be easily understood by non-physician types. I found the chapter on the decision to intubate worth the amazon price, alone.
Clear, concise and written in a manner that all healthcare professionals can understand. I recommend it to all who have not taken the course but want to get its lessons. ABSOLUTELY indispensable for all paramedics, ER docs, respiratory therapists, flight respiratory therapists and flight nurses. Sleep with it under your pillow.
As a working ground and flight paramedic this book does an excellent job at detailing information that many times was not covered in school. If you are planning on taking the FP-C or CC-P exam this book is a great review and follows their current standards. Very recommended.
Unfortunately I bought 3rd edition, not knowing I wasn't buying 4th edition. But the information is still relevant. A must for the student taking the CCP exam.
Great for my Advanced Airway Class that I'm taking for respiratory therapy. Very helpful and gives a lot of details
