It's nice, it teaches you stuff, but some are things we already know or don't care. I don't use it much. I really like the different designs/ costumes there are many different stuff in it for example: pets,animals, a lot of nice drawings, bases / basics, lots of pages, how to draws, boys, villains, girls, even how to make manga, different kind of characters, eyes, faces, different clothing, breaking down stuff so it's easier, different sizes and types of people, and types of clothing, varieties and like/almost everything you need to make magic/fantasy manga, some extras I guess, and ect. I don 't know what else to say but that it is nicely packed with stuff ( even though there are some things I know or don't care )and nice and plentiful of awesome drawings. I would recommend this to someone familiar with manga but really needs help and it also could be for some normal or intermediate missing some stuff. Actually, I think it's for everyone. Since it's full of awesome drawings, this can be a good reference since there is a lot of variety. It covers so much!
I highly recommend this book for those who are drawing magical girls series or even if you are making a fantasy series as well! I found this book very helpful. It gives you great information about how you should draw their eyes. There are many other useful sections in this book which includes a section on magical boys(which I was very pleased with. It is hard to find a good drawing manga book that helps you learn how to draw them), it shows you how do transformation sequences, how to draw the popular sailor school girl uniform, and many more. I think this is one of Christopher's best books he has done. This is a book you should get if you are making a magical girl series or just a fantasy series.
This is a great book. My 11-year old daugher loves it, and the drawings she makes are incredible, using the techniques in the book. Highly recommended if for those fans of this genre.
I bought this book for my manga-crazy 11 year old daughter. It's hard to find manga/anime that is age-appropriate for her. This book was terrific, she really improved her drawing skills. Plus, it gave her lots of ideas for her own characters. Enjoy!
bought it for my 16 y/o nephew whos interested in anime and creating them on his computer. great book cuz it shows him the basic drawings and how to for a beginner. good buy if your interested and just starting
I teach art, and I use books chosen by students as an incentive and reward when they finish work early, do a good job, etc. Chris Hart books are always favorites. He has a good selection for all skill levels.
This is a great drawing instruction manual, I purchased it for a ten year old. It's written so that she can understand how to accomplish the sketches.
