Wow, this was gre as the for all ages. I have grandchildren ages 1-22. They all enjoyed this book. Each one my families received one and what a fun star party we had.
I bought this for my almost 9-year-old grandson to go with a new telescope that we bought him for Christmas. The book seems to be very informative and well-illustrated. Should be helpful in finding things to view in the sky and learning more about stars, planets, etc.
This is a good first book for the little sky-watcher in your life. The pages are very eye-catching to hold their attention, with lots of good scientific information to nurture their interest in the night sky. Many of the observations, like constellations, can be made with the naked eye. But some of the sights would require a telescope, just FYI. Overall, a great way to get into stargazing with your kids! Science is fun and cool, and the scientific adventure doesn't have to be taught just at school. You can learn alongside your kids and make memories with them at the same time!
My 9 year old son loves star gazing and anything to do with space. He loves this book. Some of the pages has jokes on them about the stars and he gets a kick out of that.

The book was purchased for a budding astronomer who also received telescope for Christmas. It was a perfect companion piece for him to use. It’s informative and written for a child, but not too childish. I would recommend it.
My eight year old nephew I loved that book and asked me to order the rest of the collection. Perfect for a young field explorer who asked so many questions when he is in nature.
