This is a new series,really like first book.As normal waiting on second.I only have one commet.the bow on cover is a recurve not a longbow.This will be another great series by Mr.Hosker!
Griff Hosker brings to life an archer, not just any archer but an English longbow master, who identifies to us the men who won so many wars for their land and their king. He starts the life of this young archer at 17 where he is just beginning to learn the strength of his abilities through to becoming the Captain of Archers for Prince Edward of England. So we see the development of this young man as he hones his craft through the back draft of 13th century England and with that the story of how the English longbow was so vitally important in watercraft.This is a very good read from a talented author. Well done!!
"Gerald" the archer started his life journey meting out justice but at the cost of his home and future. As you will see, honor is not always appreciated, but always right. Can't wait for the next installment!
Another well written adventure series by Hosker. As typical of his stories you can't put it down and can't wait for the next adventure of this English archer. I'm not sure how he keeps putting out so many well written stories.
I very much enjoyed this book and hope it will become a series. Lead character was excellent. I highly recommend this book.
Great action and history. This book moves along swiftly. I felt like I could take on Robin Hood after reading this. Good read
A noble archer who serves the nobles. Prince Henry and the prince have the assistance of valiant archers and sergeants in arm.
I enjoyed the fast pace action. Also liked the writing style of the author.
